description

The garden has a symmetrical layout both in terms of planting and the hard landscaping features. It consists of two parts: a lounge area close to the kitchen, which is a perfect spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon tea. The other is an al fresco dining area on the upper level enclosed by the rendered batten trellises with evergreen jasmines, suitable for cosy dinner parties among the lush planting. The white cushions match the raised beds and the battens creating a high-end contemporary design enforced by large specimen olive trees underplanted with hardy ferns (Blechnum sp.) and rosemary.

“One of the criteria for designing a garden is to know how the space will be used – a garden for entertaining needs more furniture than planting with smart features that tie in with the décor of the adjacent house.”
