By using reclaimed materials, we can achieve many things: create an instant rustic effect in the look, save the environment by re-using materials and this approach can also be cost-effective. The patio with the round wooden table and chairs is made of reclaimed York stone paving with one sleeper step leading to the upper lawn level of the garden. The reclaimed sleeper mirrored at the back with another sleeper used as a bespoke bench with two vertical uprights as a structure for the Wisteria. There are two olive trees either side of the step and evergreen Magnolias at the back.

“Using mirrors in a garden is a good trick: it helps to mirror light into desired darker places, enlarges the space by adding to the view and creates a funky surprise effect as well.”
